Product

Guard features a unique track system that eliminates gaps between the blinds and the window frame to ensure total darkness. The dual-layered honeycomb fabric combines non-woven polyester with a reflective thermal barrier to block light, insulate against heat, and reduce noise.

Guard is designed to fit most standard window types, but there are a few considerations.

Guard won't fit windows that are not square. Additionally, the blinds require at least 1.3 inches of unobstructed recess space for proper installation. If your window doesn't meet these criteria, Guard may not be suitable for you.

Guard’s frame is made from durable aluminum alloy, and its fabric features a non-woven polyester honeycomb design with an aluminum reflective layer inside.

Guard is low-maintenance. The non-woven polyester fabric resists dust and stains, requiring only occasional cleaning with a damp cloth. No special cleaners or treatments are necessary.

Yes, our Bits are safe for sensitive teeth. We use Nano-hydroxyapatite in our Fluoride-Free formula, a mineral that's been proven to strengthen and remineralize enamel and help fight sensitivity.

Yes, Guard is cordless, which eliminates the risk of cord-related accidents. According to safety studies, cordless designs significantly reduce the risk of entanglement, especially for children under six years old.

Currently, Guard can only be operated manually, but we will be releasing a motorized and smart home-compatible option in the future.

Guard can be installed on sliding doors, offering effective light control and privacy. However, ensure your sliding door meets these specifications before ordering:

  • Size: Your sliding door should not exceed a maximum height of 102 inches and a maximum width of 78 inches.

  • Obstructions: Make sure there are no obstructions that could interfere with the smooth operation of the blinds.

  • Bottom Frames: Be aware that bottom frames might pose a tripping hazard.

  • Sealing: Ensure your sliding door fully seals when closed to achieve optimal light control and privacy.

  • Recess: A minimum recess of 1.3 inches is required for proper installation.

The exterior and interior of the Guard are the same color, based on your fabric choice. If you select Graphite, both sides of the blind will be Graphite; if you choose Quartz, both sides will be Quartz. This uniform design maintains a cohesive look from both inside and outside your home.

We offer 4 color combinations:

Guard dampens outside noise to create a quieter space, but it doesn’t completely block out all sound.

Measuring

To ensure correct measurements, please read our Measuring Guide. It's important that your measurements are accurate and precise, as they are crucial for the blinds to fit properly. Incorrect measurements will result in the blinds not fitting your windows.

No, provide the exact measurements of your window, and we will make the necessary deductions for a perfect fit. You don’t need to adjust your measurements.

It’s important to be as precise as possible when measuring to ensure your blinds fit correctly. If unsure, round down to the nearest 1/16".

If you believe you made an error in your measurements, contact our customer service team immediately. We may be able to assist before the blinds are manufactured.

Installation

To install Guard, follow our step-by-step instructions in our Installation Guide.

To install your blinds, you'll need a few key tools: a screwdriver and foam tape (not included). The blinds come with all the necessary assembly parts and screws required to connect the frame components.

Guard may not fit windows that are out of square by more than 1.5 inches in width or height. Additionally, the blinds require at least 1.3 inches of unobstructed recess space for proper installation. If your skylight or window doesn't meet these criteria, Guard may not be suitable. For drywall installations without a supporting structure, you’ll need to use drywall anchors for added support.

Guard can be installed on virtually any surface, including wood, drywall, plaster, and brick, with the help of foam tape—no screws or wall anchors are needed.

In most cases, Guard can be installed by one person. However, for larger-sized blinds, having a second person to help may make the process easier and ensure proper alignment.

It typically takes 30-45 days to manufacture your Guard before it is ready to ship.

Shipping takes 4-8 business days to the USA, Canada, Europe and other countries.

As soon as your order is shipped, we'll send you a shipping confirmation email with tracking information. If you believe your order should have shipped but haven’t received the confirmation, please contact us at support@guardblinds.com . Including your order number will help us resolve the issue faster.

Warranty & Returns

Return Policy

At Guard, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with our products. We offer a 30-day return policy for your convenience. Please review the details below to understand our return process:

Damaged or Missing Parts

If your product arrives damaged or with missing parts, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order. We will produce and ship a replacement product or send the missing parts within 10 working days, free of charge.

30-Day Return Policy

If you wish to return your product, you may do so within 30 days of receiving it. Please note the following:

  • All Guard products are made to order and customized to your specifications. As such, returns are subject to a restocking fee of 30% of the original order price.

  • To initiate a return, contact our customer support team at support@guardblinds.com . We will provide you with a return label and instructions on how to return the product.

  • The product must be returned in its original condition and packaging to be eligible for a refund.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return to let you know if the refund was approved. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

To initiate a return, please contact our customer support team at support@guardblinds.com within 30 days of receiving your product. We will provide you with a return label and detailed instructions on how to return the product. Once we receive the returned item, we will process your refund or exchange, depending on your request.

Guard is covered by a two-year warranty from the original date of purchase. Guard warrants to the original purchaser that the product is free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of two years. This warranty applies only to defects resulting from manufacturing errors and does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper installation, alterations, or any use unintended by the manufacturer.

If your Guard is found to be defective in materials or workmanship within the two-year warranty period, Guard will, at its sole discretion, either replace the defective product or repair the defective parts free of charge. This warranty does not cover any damages caused by external factors such as heat, solvents, or physical impact.

This warranty is limited to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. It does not affect your statutory rights. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. No representative or person is authorized to assume liability on behalf of Guard in connection with the sale or use of this product.

Guard is not liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the product. To claim your warranty, please contact us at support@guardblinds.com .

To initiate a warranty claim, please contact our customer support team at support@guardblinds.com with details of the issue. We will provide you with instructions on how to proceed, including any necessary steps for returning the product if required. Once we review and verify the claim, we will either send replacement parts or replace the product based on the warranty terms.
